Happy B-Day Jeffy!

So I really didn't want to post more than once a day, but I just remembered a very important post I was wanting to make that can only be done today.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Jeffy! I know he probably doesn't look at my blog, but I figured my mom could tell him for me. Jeffrey has been an awesome brother. He is the closest to me in age, so he has probably lived with me the longest. He is such a great big brother and an amazing guy.

Anyway, I am trying to be quick to get this done before midnight. Happy Birthday Jeff. Hope it was great. Love ya!

My Famous Encounter

So this weekend I got to travel with the team again. This time it us up to Salt Lake for the Utah game (long trip I know, but it was over night). Firday night we went out to eat dinner and as the bus was pulling up I noticed and crowd by the door. I was trying to figure out why and realized that Karl Malone was there! Unfortunately, he was in his car by the time got got out of the bus.

Later that night we talked to our head coach and told him that we see Karl (yes, we are on a fist name basis now). Judd said we should have dropped his name to Karl and he would have talked to us.

Anyway the next morning I went done to breakfast and guess who was there. That's right. Karl Malone was sitting there chatting it up with your coach. Later we got to go up to shake his hand. It was pretty awesome. I just wish we got a picture with him or something.

I survived!

Sorry it has been a while since I last posted, but I finally made it through the week. Everything went fairly well. I even got a two hour nap in today. That was pretty sweet! Any way, hopefully I will come up with some good posts for you soon.

My Pathetic Life

Here is a little glance into how pathetic my life can be sometimes. Yesterday, Friday, I was on campus from 8:00am until 9:00pm and then came home to do more homework. Then today, Saturday, I went up to campus after my basketball game and was there until 8:00pm.

What an exciting weekend, huh?! But I guess that is what happens when you miss two days of school and come back to 3 tests, 8 quizzes, and 2 papers on top of my regular homework all due within a week. Fun times.

Another First

So last Tuesday I had weights at 7:00 in the morning. Last semester I would come home and sleep after, but this semester hasn't been so luxurious. Tuesdays are so busy I usually need to work on homework before my class. I came home and started working on homework like usual, but I was just too tired. I feel asleep on the couch and around 8:30 Jessica woke me up and told me to go to my bed. So I did. I was going to tell Jessica to wake me up before she left, but she was in the shower before I got to the room, so I just set my alarm.

Two hours later I woke up, looked at the clock and freaked out. It was around 10:30 and I had class at 10:00. This was the first time I slept in and missed a class. I felt so stupid and ashamed. And it is actually a class I enjoy, so that kind of sucked.

On my phone the alarm is set according to days, so I accidentally changed the Monday, Wednesday, Friday alarm instead of Tuesday, Thursday. This is why I always have to set two alarms for the morning.

Drug Test

Last week after practice our athletic trainer came up and announced random drug testing was that day. And guess who's name was first on the list. Mine, of course. I had to be in the training room at 4:30 to be tested and practice had ended at 2:00.
Talking with the other girls on my team I found out the true horror of drug testing. I was informed that not only was someone going to be in the bathroom with me, but that they would literally have to see the pee come out to know that it was really mine.

This made me super nervous and worried that I wouldn't be able to go, so I decided I needed to prepare really well. So I started drinking right away and by 3:00 I already had to go bad. So I decided that I could go, but I just had to drink a lot again. So I did and by 3:45 I had to go even worse. My stomach was tight and cramping. I was freaking out and didn't know what to do. I called my mom to try to calm down. Then I showed up 15 minutes early hoping I could get it over with early, but they weren't there.

I paced around for another 15 minutes and then had to fill out paper work and wait for a trainer to come to the bathroom with me. Luckily, my teammates were kind enough to let me go first. Needless to say I was able to go with no problem and also the trainer was kind enough to not make it too awkward. She stood with her back to me.

So I filled more the cup and then kept going and going and going. It was getting a little awkward, so I finally cut myself off. Then I went out to do the whole sealing process. Unfortunately, the cups didn't have lids like the one in the picture and I accidentally spilled a little on the table, so that was awkward. But I finally got everything sealed up and was done with it.

I got home around 5:30 or so and went to the bathroom 4 more times by 8:00. I think I might have over prepared a little. No worries though, it has been 10 days already and I didn't get a call. So I passed, not that I was really worried about that part.

New Mexico

On Monday I left For New Mexico with the basketball team. I got to travel with the team to this game and I think I lucked out on a pretty good game to go to. It was the Pink game in support of breast cancer month. As you can see New Mexico is rich enough to actually get pink jerseys while all we got were pink shoe laces.

It kind of sucked because we ended up losing the game, but it was a great experience. The Pit, as they call their arena in New Mexico, actually gets fans to their games, so it was interesting to have it actually be loud enough to not hear each other.

It was a good trip. Free trip away from school, free food, and free pink Nike stuff from New Mexcio. Although I don't really know what to do with the pink stuff since I'm not a big fan of pink, but I'm sure I can find something fun to do with it.

Unfortunately, it is back to reality with school. It's going to be a tough week.

Here I Am

I never thought I would have a blog, ecspecially right now. I guess it is all from peer pressure. I mean some people choose there peer groups to be the scientist who pressure into publishing research because everyone is doing it and no one will read it anyway. However, my peer group pressures into writing blogs that the whole wide world can read!
